New Delhi, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is recognized as a remarkable leader, with expectations that India will achieve its Vision 2047 goals ahead of schedule. This insight was shared by an African businessman attending the BRICS summit on Saturday.
In an interview with a news agency, Idehai Frederick, chairman of the Diplomatic Correspondents Association of Nigeria (DICAN), emphasized the long-standing friendship between India and Nigeria. He noted that India ranks as the second-largest employer of workers after the Nigerian government, highlighting the significant trade relationship between the two nations. Frederick expressed optimism for further growth in this partnership.
He remarked on the rapid advancement of India’s economy, stating, “I believe that PM Modi’s Vision 2047 will be realized before the target date.” Frederick praised Modi’s leadership and vision, which is evident in his policies and initiatives, as well as India’s role in leading the BRICS group.
Daniel Tiruneh, managing director of the Abyssinia Business Network, also commented on India-Ethiopia relations, pointing out their deep-rooted connections. He noted ongoing collaboration in trade, investment, innovation, and education. Modi’s recent visit to Ethiopia revitalized these ties, reflecting positively on BRICS and providing a significant platform for Ethiopia.
India is currently hosting the 18th BRICS summit, with 11 member countries and 10 partner nations participating. Heads of state and representatives are arriving in New Delhi for the event.
In preparation for the summit, extensive security measures have been implemented, including the deployment of 15,000 police officers and 200 companies of paramilitary forces.
