New Delhi, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : Journalists from across the globe have expressed their admiration for India during the ongoing BRICS Summit at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. They discussed the growing collaboration between India and China, as well as India’s relations with Malaysia and other nations.
Yiyi Zhang, a journalist from China’s Global Times, emphasized the potential for cooperation between India and China. “As a journalist, I see both countries as major developing nations and BRICS members. There is significant potential for collaboration. I believe that bilateral meetings will certainly enhance mutual trust and aid practical cooperation in the future. We hope to see concrete outcomes following this summit,” she stated.
Yasmin Natasha, a journalist from Malaysia, shared her thoughts on the summit’s significance for her country. “This is beneficial, especially for Malaysia, as it helps us connect with one another. We are currently facing geopolitical and economic challenges, and countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and others in ASEAN are linked to India through BRICS. This is particularly good for Malaysia’s economy. Our Prime Minister visited India last night, and we have strong relations,” she noted.
Sarafina Christopher, a journalist from Nigeria, expressed optimism about BRICS. “I believe it will be impactful. I have followed BRICS since its inception, and this summit is notably significant, involving not only member countries but also many partner nations. Nigeria is a partner country, and we have high hopes for strengthening our bilateral relations and increasing trade volume ahead of the summit,” she remarked.
Freelance journalist Mega Meh Wahidawati from Indonesia reflected on her experience at the summit. “Both experiences have been wonderful. What I’ve learned has truly taught me about Indian culture. In terms of relationships, Indonesia and India are very close, influenced by our shared history and culture. For instance, our currency is called rupiah, while yours is called rupee, and both mean the same thing. Our country is named Indonesia, and yours is India, which is also similar,” she explained.
The summit continues to foster dialogue and partnerships among diverse nations, highlighting the potential for future collaboration in various sectors.
