CPI(M) Leader Hannan Mollah Criticizes TMC, Claims Party is Fading Away

New Delhi, June 6: CPI(M) leader and former MP Hannan Mollah has made strong remarks about the Trinamool Congress (TMC), stating that the party is gradually fading away. He likened the party’s decline to camphor, which dissipates into the air. According to him, this situation is inevitable.

Mollah emphasized that a political organization can only endure when it comprises honest, educated, and ideologically strong individuals. However, if a party includes criminals, anti-social elements, and those engaged in looting, it cannot sustain itself for long.

He accused the TMC of harboring individuals who pursue personal interests, claiming they have exploited the state for the past 15 years. Now, as opportunities seem to dwindle, they are seeking new avenues to regain similar benefits. This, he argues, has resulted in significant hardships for the general public.

Furthermore, Mollah questioned the central government’s proposed delimitation bill. He suggested that the government is attempting to gather a majority by swaying MPs from certain parties, as they currently lack a full majority. He alleged that this process is being advanced through political maneuvering rather than democratic means.

He also pointed out that while the women’s reservation law has already been passed, it has yet to be implemented effectively. Mollah believes that the current attempts to create new political equations under the guise of delimitation could be aimed at altering the country’s voting patterns and political landscape.

Mollah argued that in areas with better governance and peaceful living conditions, a decrease in population could lead to fewer seats, while regions plagued by crime, communal tension, and social issues might see an increase in seats. This could disrupt the balance and enhance the political dominance of certain areas.
