BJPs Parivartan Yatra to Kick Off in West Bengal, Dilip Ghosh Says People Desire Change

Kharagpur, March 1: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dilip Ghosh announced the launch of the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ in West Bengal, emphasizing that this journey aims to convey a message of change to the public.

In an interview with a news agency, Ghosh stated, “Assembly elections are approaching in Bengal. We are initiating a ‘Parivartan Yatra’ for the people. The people of Bengal also desire change.”

He mentioned that leaders from both the state and the national level of the BJP will participate in this journey. Ghosh added, “Prime Minister Modi has a clear message: if given a chance, the BJP can transform the state’s situation. This message will be communicated through the yatra.”

The BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ will commence from Siliguri, covering regions including Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, and Darjeeling. Following this, the yatra will extend to Navadwip, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Howrah-Hooghly, Medinipur, Purulia, and Bardhaman. The journey will begin simultaneously across all nine divisions.

Public meetings will be held on March 1 and 2 in various divisions, marking the start of the BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra.’ The main program is scheduled to run from March 5 to March 10, during which an average distance of 100 kilometers will be covered daily.

Meanwhile, Ghosh expressed concern over the conflict between Iran and Israel, stating that many countries are already engaged in warfare. He described the new conflict as unfortunate, especially during Ramadan, when violence and bloodshed are particularly alarming. He urged for an end to the fighting.

Regarding the Special Identity Registration (SIR) process, Ghosh noted that the new voter list will exclude the names of deceased individuals. He claimed that in areas where TMC legislators have won, there is a high number of fraudulent voters. After the SIR process, these fraudulent voters will be removed.
