Ashoknagar, April 4: Union Minister for Communications and Development of the Northeastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, addressed the concerns of local residents and resolved 238 cases on the spot. He also provided necessary directives to the officials present.
During a public hearing held in Piprai, part of the Mungavali assembly constituency in Ashoknagar district, Minister Scindia listened to the grievances of a large number of attendees. He received a total of 1,048 applications during this session, resolving 238 cases immediately. The remaining 810 applications were forwarded to the relevant departments for priority resolution.
Minister Scindia emphasized that each application should be addressed seriously and resolved in a timely manner. He dedicated over three hours to listening to the applicants’ issues during the public hearing.
At the event, a hearing aid was provided to Daulat Singh, along with instructions on its use. Additionally, he assured Gopal, a differently-abled resident of Barra village, that a wheelchair would be made available to him in the upcoming meeting. Chanda Devi, who had been waiting for approval under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme for the past three years, also received immediate approval for her case.
Another individual, who had been seeking housing for the last ten years, was granted immediate approval as well. All complaints received during the public hearing were formally registered under a token system, ensuring a secure record of each applicant’s issue. An online tracking system for pending cases was also established, allowing for regular reviews of each application’s progress. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and accountability in the resolution process.
Minister Scindia instructed administrative officials to ensure that every application is resolved. For cases that cannot be addressed, clear explanations should be provided. He also urged that issues related to both central and state levels be escalated appropriately for resolution.
This public hearing initiative, which began last year to address citizen issues in his parliamentary constituency, has now entered its second phase. Minister Scindia expressed his commitment to ensuring that every citizen’s problem is heard, resolved, and that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in line.
He expressed confidence that regular public hearings would not only resolve issues but also strengthen trust and dialogue between the administration and the public.
