Uttar Pradesh Energy Minister Inaugurates Hanuman Setu in Mau, Benefiting Over 30,000 Residents

Mau, April 4: Uttar Pradesh’s Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma inaugurated the Hanuman Setu (Bailey bridge) at Hanuman Ghat on the banks of the Tamasa River during his visit to the Mau district. This significant event was attended by local representatives, officials, and a large number of residents, adding grandeur to the occasion.

While addressing the gathering, the minister emphasized that this bridge is not merely a temporary solution but a robust start towards regional development. He clarified that the state government plans to construct a permanent and sturdy bridge soon, ensuring long-term convenience for the local population.

According to the minister, the construction of this bridge will directly benefit over 30,000 individuals. It will particularly ease transportation for residents of rural and remote areas, making travel significantly more accessible compared to before. This development is expected to enhance educational, health, and business activities in the region.

He stated that the state government’s aim is not limited to urban areas but extends to reaching the most marginalized individuals. In this context, efforts have also been made to ensure potable water supply and improved lighting in the area. The modern streetlights installed by the Urban Development Department were praised for reflecting the quality and transparency of the initiatives.

The minister assured that rapid progress is being made in areas that have previously seen little development. Providing essential services such as roads, electricity, water, education, and healthcare to every citizen remains the government’s priority. During the event, local residents warmly welcomed the minister and expressed gratitude for his efforts, noting that a new wave of development is visible in the region.
