New Delhi, June 7: The Delhi BJP initiated its outreach program, “Seva Samarpan Pakhwada,” on Sunday in Karawal Nagar, celebrating 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government. According to a party leader, this initiative will cover all 70 assembly constituencies.
A statement revealed that the “Seva Samarpan Pakhwada” is being observed at the Prime Minister‘s behest. Through this campaign, BJP workers will showcase the achievements of both the central and Delhi governments to the public.
The first public meeting of this campaign was held in the Karawal Nagar assembly area. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra addressed the gathering, which also saw the presence of local MLA and Delhi government minister Kapil Mishra.
During this event, a sewer development project worth ₹138 crore for Karawal Nagar was announced.
MP Manoj Tiwari, Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh, MLA Ajay Mahawar, and Northeast District BJP President Dr. UK Chaudhary also spoke at the assembly.
Delhi BJP President and Union Minister Harsh Malhotra stated that despite the BJP being in opposition for 11 out of the last 12 years in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi has consistently provided significant infrastructure projects to the city.
He highlighted developments such as roads, the metro network, the Delhi-Meerut rail corridor, Bharat Mandapam, and new convention complexes in Dwarka, which have established Delhi as a world-class destination for international events and conferences.
Malhotra mentioned that in collaboration with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the government has launched a ₹138 crore sewer development project for Karawal Nagar, successfully improving cleanliness in the Yamuna river area between Sonia Vihar and Wazirabad.
Chief Minister Gupta noted that Karawal Nagar has long faced issues related to drainage, sewage, drinking water supply, and infrastructure. She emphasized the government’s commitment to providing sustainable solutions to these challenges, stating that laying the foundation for this new project is a significant step in that direction.
She stressed that the government’s goal is not merely to make announcements but to deliver tangible results on the ground. Accordingly, extensive development work has commenced to expand the sewer network, strengthen drainage systems, and enhance civic amenities in the constituency.
The Chief Minister revealed that over ₹300 crore in development projects for Karawal Nagar have been approved through various funding sources, including the Chief Minister’s Development Fund, MLA Fund, and the Yamuna Par Development Board.
