Yogi Government Accused of Shielding Big Names in Ram Temple Donation Theft: Ravidas Mehrotra

Lucknow, July 2: Samajwadi Party MLA Ravidas Mehrotra has launched a sharp attack on both the central and Uttar Pradesh governments regarding the Ram Temple donation scandal, protests by the Ayodhya Bar Association, the ongoing SIT investigation, and the nationwide implementation of the VB-G Ram-G scheme. He alleged that efforts are being made to protect influential individuals involved in the theft of donations and jewelry related to the Ram Temple. A fair investigation is essential in this matter.

The Ayodhya Bar Association has staged protests demanding the filing of FIRs against trust members Champat Rai, Anil Mishra, and Gopal Rao in connection with the Ram Temple donation theft. Mehrotra stated, “Today, lawyers in Ayodhya protested against the theft, robbery, and dacoity of donations and jewelry at the Ram Temple. The Ayodhya Bar Association has called for FIRs against trustees and General Secretary Champat Rai, Govind Rao, and Anil Mishra. There is an ongoing effort to protect major thieves. The entire nation knows that many influential people are involved in this theft, and attempts are being made to shield them. If the Chief Minister is not involved in the Ram Temple theft, he should initiate an investigation by a High Court judge to uncover who is involved and with whose consent such a massive dacoity occurred.”

Mehrotra also questioned the SIT’s methodology regarding the interrogation of trustee Anil Mishra behind closed doors and the planned bulldozer actions against two accused individuals. He remarked that the SIT is conducting an investigation into the Ram Temple theft in Ayodhya. The SIT’s report should also be scrutinized, and those it is attempting to protect must be investigated as well. “The keys to the bulldozer have reached the hands of criminals. That is why bulldozer actions are not being taken against those accused of stealing from the Ram Temple donations. Immediate bulldozer actions should be taken against those who have committed large-scale theft,” he emphasized.

When asked about the Samajwadi Party’s opposition to the VB-G Ram-G scheme implemented nationwide, Mehrotra targeted the central government. He stated that the BJP government has closed the MGNREGA scheme named after the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and has renamed it. The BJP has consistently worked to shut down schemes associated with Mahatma Gandhi because they worship Nathuram, the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi, rather than Lord Ram.
