Bengals Chief Minister Serves Jhalmuri to PM Modi in Celebration of 12 Years in Office

New Delhi, June 10: The Modi government has marked a historic 12 years in power, setting a record for the longest-serving Prime Minister. To commemorate this milestone, a meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was convened in Delhi on Wednesday, attended by Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states.

During the event, an amusing video surfaced showing West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari serving Jhalmuri to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The video also featured BJP President Nitin Naveen, Union Minister Chirag Paswan, and other prominent leaders. PM Modi shared this video on social media platform Instagram.

In his post, the Prime Minister captioned, “Today, I enjoyed Jhalmuri with fellow NDA leaders at the meeting.”

Jhalmuri emerged as a significant topic during the Bengal Assembly elections. On April 19, while addressing an election rally in Jhargram, PM Modi unexpectedly visited a Jhalmuri stall. He humorously asked the vendor, Vikram Shaw, to serve him some Jhalmuri. When the vendor inquired if he eats onions, PM Modi quipped, “Yes, I eat onions, but not brains.” After enjoying the snack, he even gave the vendor ten rupees.

Following this incident, Jhalmuri began trending on social media. During the Bengal Assembly election campaign, both BJP and TMC leaders made numerous statements regarding Jhalmuri. After the election results, BJP leaders and workers celebrated their overwhelming victory by sharing Jhalmuri with each other and the public.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Union Cabinet passed a resolution praising PM Modi’s leadership. Cabinet members honored him for this historic achievement with a standing ovation.

Prime Minister Modi has now completed 12 years as the head of the central government. With a tenure of 4,399 days as an elected Prime Minister, he has surpassed the record set by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
