Ravi Shastri Congratulates PM Modi on Historic Tenure as Indias Longest-Serving Elected Prime Minister

New Delhi, June 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made history by becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India. This remarkable achievement has garnered congratulations from various leaders across the nation and beyond. Former cricketer and head coach Ravi Shastri also extended his best wishes to PM Modi.

On the social media platform X, Shastri wrote, “Heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. Over the past decade, India has gained more stature and confidence on the global stage than ever before. From my personal experiences traveling around the world, I can say that the respect and recognition India receives today is truly remarkable.”

He further added, “There is a new sense of pride in being Indian. Wherever you go, India is seen as a country of strength, ambition, and leadership. This transformation is due to our Prime Minister’s vision and leadership. I wish you continued success in taking the nation to even greater heights. Congratulations!”

PM Modi achieved this historic milestone after serving 4,399 days in office as an elected Prime Minister, surpassing Jawaharlal Nehru’s tenure. This calculation considers Nehru’s term starting from the first general elections in 1952 and does not include his time as the head of the interim government post-independence in 1947.

During PM Modi’s tenure, numerous infrastructure and development projects have been completed, including the inauguration of the new Parliament building, the Central Vista redevelopment project, the rollout of Vande Bharat trains, the commissioning of INS Vikrant, the Statue of Unity, the Kashmir rail link, the Noida International Airport, and the Nammo Bharat RRTS, among others.
