
New Delhi, June 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the 11th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog on Thursday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre.
According to a statement from NITI Aayog, this year’s theme, aligned with the Prime Minister’s ‘Team India’ vision, is “Inclusive Human Development for a Developed India by 2047.” This theme focuses on the welfare and development of every Indian, regardless of age, region, gender, or socio-economic background.
The meeting will discuss ways to realize this vision and transform it into tangible, measurable outcomes for every citizen across the country.
NITI Aayog noted that Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors will convene to discuss the “Inclusive Human Development Framework.” This framework is based on four main pillars: essential human capital and skills for the future; productive employment, entrepreneurship, and decentralized development; health, nutrition, and well-being; and equality and respect for all.
Additionally, the meeting will address measures to promote entrepreneurship nationwide, enhance skill development, and create sustainable job opportunities.
The Governing Council will also review recommendations made during the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries, held from December 26 to 28, 2025. This conference focused on five key areas: Early Childhood Education: Laying the Foundation; School Education: The Basics; Skilling: Preparing the Workforce for the Future; Higher Education: Knowledge Economy; and Extracurricular Activities Beyond the Classroom.
NITI Aayog stated that the 11th Governing Council meeting will include Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors from Union Territories, central ministers, and NITI Aayog’s Vice Chairman, members, and CEO.
