Mayur Vihar Phase-3, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : In a shocking incident in Mayur Vihar Phase-3, East Delhi, a young man was brutally beaten to death with sticks early Sunday morning around 5:00 AM. The attack has left the local community in fear.
Local police responded promptly to the scene, securing the area and launching an investigation. Senior officers conducted a thorough examination of the site. However, hours after the incident, the identity of the victim remains unknown. The police have taken possession of the body for a post-mortem examination and are cross-referencing it with missing persons reports from nearby police stations.
A security guard named Nandlal reported that he returned from the bathroom around 4:00 AM and witnessed a group of young men violently assaulting an individual. When he attempted to intervene, the attackers turned on him, threatening him to leave or face the same fate. Fearing for his life, Nandlal retreated and immediately contacted the police control room to report the incident.
After committing the crime, the assailants managed to escape the scene. The police are now intensifying their efforts to apprehend the suspects by reviewing security footage from nearby CCTV cameras to identify the attackers and trace their escape routes.
Authorities suggest that initial investigations hint at a possible personal dispute, robbery, or other conflicts as motives. However, the exact reasons will only be clarified once the suspects are captured. The police are also interviewing local residents to expedite the identification of the deceased.
