All Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) have been instructed to resolve pending hearings promptly and ensure strict adherence to the guidelines set forth by the Election Commission of India when issuing orders.
Voters receiving notices have been urged not to panic. Those who have received notices should approach their respective EROs with the necessary documentation to address discrepancies.
A video conference chaired by the Additional Chief Electoral Officer was held with all district electoral officers to ensure that voters found ineligible during hearings or whose Form-6 applications are rejected undergo a re-evaluation. The aim is to prevent the unnecessary removal of any voter’s name.
