Western Railway Ensures Smooth NEET Exam Day with No Mega Block

Mumbai, June 17: In a significant move for the upcoming NEET exam, Western Railway has announced that there will be no mega block on June 21, the day of the examination. This decision aims to facilitate smooth travel for candidates attending the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

According to Western Railway, suburban services will operate as per regular weekday schedules, while air-conditioned suburban services will follow the Sunday timetable.

In related news, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that approximately 350,000 candidates are expected to participate in the NEET exam across 59 districts in the state. He has directed that candidates show their admission tickets to receive a 50% fare discount on buses operated by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation.

Additionally, temporary accommodation will be arranged for candidates traveling from other districts who do not have lodging. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity, transparency, and sensitivity during the examination process, instructing officials to monitor social media and other platforms closely to counter misinformation.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reviewed the state’s preparations for the NEET exam, which is also scheduled for June 21. During a high-level meeting via video conference, he directed government officials to ensure a transparent, secure, and error-free conduct of the examination at all centers.

Yadav remarked that the credibility of a national-level exam relies heavily on meticulous planning and flawless execution. He stressed that all preparations should be completed in advance, ensuring the exam is conducted with utmost transparency and without any errors.
