Yogi Adityanath to Visit Ayodhya Amid Ram Temple Donation Controversy

Lucknow, June 16: Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding alleged embezzlement of donations for the Ram Temple, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to visit Ayodhya on June 19.

A thorough investigation into the Ram Temple donation issue has been ordered. The investigation team is currently questioning temple staff and scrutinizing their conduct over the past few days to uncover any potential misuse of funds. All eyes are on Yogi Adityanath for any statements he may make regarding this matter.

This issue has already escalated into a political storm. Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has accused temple officials of widespread irregularities, financial mismanagement, and alleged manipulation of donations.

Adityanath’s visit to Ayodhya coincides with the birthday celebrations of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the president of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which will take place on June 27. Mahant Nritya Gopal Das will turn 88 years old, and a conference of spiritual leaders is being organized to mark the occasion, starting with a 10-day Shri Ram Katha from June 19.

Invitations have been sent to various chief ministers to attend this grand event, and reports suggest that several have already confirmed their participation.

Yogi Adityanath will arrive in Ayodhya on June 19, the same day the Shri Ram Katha will commence.

The three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the Uttar Pradesh government is investigating allegations of missing donations at the famous Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Under the direction of Chief Minister Yogi, the SIT is led by Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, Inspector General of Police Kiran S, and Special Secretary of the Finance Department Neel Ratan. The SIT has been instructed to submit an initial report within seven days and a final report within 15 days.
