Netanyahu Takes Strong Action Against Hezbollah After Ceasefire Violation

New Delhi, June 19: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu adopted a firm stance against Hezbollah on Thursday night, launching attacks in response to their actions. Netanyahu stated that Israel will not tolerate any attacks on its soldiers or territory, emphasizing that Hezbollah will pay a heavy price for its actions.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Netanyahu declared, “Following this heinous attack by Hezbollah, which openly violated the ceasefire, I instructed the IDF to take strong action against Hezbollah last night.”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) targeted over 80 locations and eliminated dozens of fighters. On Friday morning, the IDF also struck Hezbollah command posts in the Bekaa Valley. “This morning, I reviewed the situation with the Defense Minister and the Chief of General Staff,” Netanyahu added.

He expressed his deep condolences to the families of Lieutenant Colonel Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon and three brave soldiers whose names have not yet been released. “May God bring justice for their sacrifice. I also wish a speedy recovery to those injured in Thursday’s gunfire,” he stated.

Netanyahu reiterated, “My directive is clear: Israel will not tolerate attacks on its soldiers or its land. Hezbollah will pay a very heavy price for these assaults.”

He further stated that the IDF will continue to act against any threats to our forces and territory. “As I clearly stated on Thursday, Israel will remain in the security zone of southern Lebanon as long as necessary for the safety of communities in the northern areas.”

The IDF reported on ‘X’, “A Hezbollah launcher is firing rockets at IDF soldiers. In response to Hezbollah’s repeated and blatant ceasefire violations, the IDF has attacked two command centers in the Bekaa Valley and over 80 locations in southern Lebanon, killing dozens of Hezbollah fighters. The Air Force recently targeted Hezbollah’s infrastructure in the Bekaa Valley.”
