
Arwal, June 8: A tragic incident occurred late last night in Arwal, Bihar, when an uncontrolled car fell into a canal. Four passengers lost their lives, while the driver sustained serious injuries. The local police are currently investigating the incident.
According to reports, the accident took place near Gandhi Maidan in the Sadar police station area. There were five people in the car when it suddenly lost control and plunged into the canal, which was filled with water, causing the vehicle to submerge completely. Upon receiving news of the accident, local villagers and police teams rushed to the scene to initiate a rescue operation.
After considerable effort, the car was retrieved from the canal with the help of a hydraulic machine. The bodies of four individuals were recovered from the vehicle, while the injured driver was taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Manoj Kumar from Kanpa in the Rani Talab police area, Rishank Singh from Amhara Bihata, Aman Kumar from Kankarbagh, and another individual from Maner. The identification process for the fourth victim is still ongoing. All the deceased were residents of Patna district.
Reports indicate that the group had traveled to Arwal for work-related purposes. The accident occurred while they were returning late at night after finishing their tasks. The injured driver stated that they had come to Arwal from Bihata and lost control of the car while heading back. He was unaware of whom they had met in Arwal.
Dr. Vineet Kumar confirmed that the police brought five injured individuals to the hospital. Four of them were already deceased, while there are hopes for the recovery of the injured Rohit. The post-mortem reports revealed that all four victims died due to drowning.
