Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Meets Family of Martyr Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi

Srinagar, July 24: Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited Lalpora in Budgam district on Friday to meet the family of martyr Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

He expressed his condolences to the family, stating that the bravery, dedication, and ultimate sacrifice of the fallen soldier will continue to inspire the citizens of the nation.

On the social media platform ‘X’, Manoj Sinha wrote that the courage and sacrifice of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi will always motivate us. The entire country salutes his dedication to duty and stands firmly with his family during this difficult time.

He emphasized that under Prime Minister Modi‘s leadership, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Indian Army, and Central Armed Police Forces are relentlessly working to dismantle the entire network of terrorism. He expressed confidence that the sacrifice of Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, along with his spirit of service and love for the motherland, will always guide efforts towards building a peaceful, prosperous, and developed Jammu and Kashmir.

Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi was deployed with the third battalion of the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Indian Reserve Police. He made the ultimate sacrifice during a terrorist attack in Anantnag, South Kashmir, on July 22.

Following the attack, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also expressed his sorrow on the social media platform ‘X’ on July 22. He stated that he was deeply saddened by the news of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain’s martyrdom while on duty.

Omar Abdullah condemned the cowardly terrorist attack in Anantnag in the strongest terms and expressed deep condolences to the martyr’s family.
