Jammu, July 24: Ahead of Kargil Vijay Diwas, senior leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Indresh Kumar, visited the Martyrs’ Memorial in Jammu to pay homage to the martyrs of the Kargil War. During his visit, he spoke on various issues including national security, the sacrifices of martyrs, the role of youth, and nation-building.
Indresh Kumar stated that the National Security Awareness Forum (FANS) remembers all the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country’s defense every year on Kargil Vijay Diwas. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by citizens, police personnel, and soldiers in the fight against terrorism and other incidents will always serve as a source of inspiration.
He praised the army, government, and administration for constructing the Martyrs’ Memorial, stating that such places remind citizens of the sacrifices and dedication of the martyrs. He urged more people to visit the memorial on July 26, Kargil Vijay Diwas, and pay their respects to the martyrs while carrying the national flag.
Indresh Kumar remarked that the tricolor symbolizes the pride and honor of the nation. It unites the country and sends a message of India’s unity and strength to the world. He expressed that sentiments like “Sare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Hamara,” “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and “Vande Mataram” should always resonate in the hearts of citizens.
He noted that Kargil Vijay Diwas is not just a remembrance of military victory but also a symbol of patriotism, courage, and sacrifice. He encouraged the youth to draw inspiration from the stories of martyrs and play their part in the nation’s development. He stressed that the message should reach villages, fields, and cities that no sacrifice made for the country ever goes in vain.
Recalling the Kargil War, Indresh Kumar mentioned that Pakistan had plotted an attack on India in the Kargil region, but the Indian Army, government, and citizens responded decisively. He noted that then-Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee declared July 26 as Kargil Vijay Diwas, and since then, the nation has celebrated this day with pride and honor.
Indresh Kumar asserted that India is progressing towards becoming a global leader. Every citizen should contribute positively to eliminate issues like development, education, poverty, hunger, untouchability, pollution, and violence. He emphasized the need for creative thinking to advance the country. Instead of channeling energy into political opposition or negative activities, he urged the youth to engage in nation-building efforts.
Regarding the name of the Cockroach People’s Party, Indresh Kumar stated that the name of any organization reflects its thoughts and objectives. He also commented on the movement associated with Sonam Wangchuk and the Cockroach People’s Party, urging youth and leaders to prioritize national interest above all. Some individuals, influenced by negative factors, may stray onto paths detrimental to the country and society.
He concluded by stating that India is rapidly advancing on the paths of development, education, and progress. Many countries around the world have honored India, and now is the time for everyone to contribute to nation-building.
