Betiah, June 8: The trend of creating reels has surged in recent times, with many individuals going to great lengths to gain views, often leading to accidents. A tragic incident occurred in the Mufassil police station area of West Champaran district, Bihar, where two young men fell into the Gandak canal while filming reels, resulting in their deaths.
The incident took place near the 55 Bridge at the Gandak canal in Amwa Majhar, Majholia. Reports indicate that Dharm Kumar and Karan Kumar, residents of Bari Tola village in the Mufassil area, had gone to the canal with some friends. While shooting videos for their reels, they became so engrossed that they slipped and fell into the canal. Bystanders attempted to rescue them, but the strong current and depth of the water made it impossible.

This heartbreaking event has sent shockwaves through the area, leaving the families of the deceased in deep mourning. After considerable effort, both bodies were retrieved from the canal. The police are conducting necessary legal proceedings regarding the case. The local administration has urged residents to refrain from filming videos near canals, rivers, and water bodies to prevent such tragedies in the future.
