New Delhi, July 1: The recent telephone conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has sparked significant political reactions across the country. This dialogue is seen as a crucial step towards strengthening India-Iran relations and enhancing regional stability.
BJP national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain stated that Prime Minister Modi’s conversation is set to further advance the longstanding and robust ties between India and Iran. He emphasized that India has consistently followed an independent foreign policy, maintaining balanced relations with all countries without joining any bloc. According to him, this dialogue will provide a new direction for cooperation between the two nations.
Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also supported this conversation, noting that PM Modi has always advocated for peace, stability, and security on a global scale. He believes that the solution to any crisis lies not in war, but in dialogue and mutual understanding. In the current international climate, the role of dialogue and diplomacy becomes even more critical.
BJP national spokesperson Ajay Alok remarked that PM Modi is continuously making diplomatic efforts to end ongoing global conflicts. He asserted that war is not a solution to any problem and harms all parties involved. Any disruption in maritime routes is detrimental not only to developing nations but also to the economies of developed countries.
Alok further stated that India and Iran have maintained good relations for a long time, and PM Modi has expressed the concerns of the Iranian people during his conversation. He emphasized the need to ensure smooth global trade and energy supply.
“PM Modi is fully committed to ending this war on a global scale. He firmly believes that the resolution of any issue can only be achieved through diplomatic efforts. Dialogue is the way forward; war is not a solution,” he added.
Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) MLC Neeraj Kumar welcomed this conversation, noting that the ongoing tensions in West Asia are creating economic challenges for the entire world. In this context, India’s role and diplomatic engagement become extremely important. He described this as a positive and reassuring initiative.
