Hyderabad, July 1: BJP leader Madhavi Lata has responded to Asaduddin Owaisi’s recent comments about forming alliances with other parties in Uttar Pradesh. She sarcastically challenged Owaisi to walk a day on foot first.
Speaking to a news agency, Madhavi Lata stated, “I want to challenge him (Asaduddin Owaisi) that if you want to walk half the distance for Muslims, then first try walking a full day and see how many kilometers you can cover. Who knows what vehicle he might take along the way and then claim he completed half the journey.”
Madhavi Lata further promised, “I vow in front of the entire nation that if he genuinely walks half the distance for Muslims from Hyderabad to Uttar Pradesh, I will walk from Hyderabad to Ayodhya for the development of Uttar Pradesh, for all communities (Hindus, Muslims, Christians, and others).”
She criticized Owaisi, questioning how long he would continue to play politics in the name of religion. “His age is advancing, but his mind hasn’t come to the right place,” she added. Reiterating her challenge, Madhavi Lata declared, “If Asaduddin Owaisi manages to complete even half the distance properly, I will walk from Hyderabad to Ayodhya for people of all religions, including Muslims.”
Previously, Asaduddin Owaisi had called for other parties to unite against the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. The Hyderabad MP expressed, “We do not want the BJP to form the government again in Uttar Pradesh. I have said this before and I say it again, if anyone is ready to ally with us, Asaduddin Owaisi is also prepared to walk half the distance.”
