New Delhi, August 11: The NDA parliamentary party’s weekly ‘Mangal Milan‘ meeting commenced in a patriotic atmosphere on Tuesday at the Parliament Library Building, just before the final days of the monsoon session. During the gathering, members waved the national flag and chanted slogans like ‘Vande Mataram‘ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai.’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President Nitin Naveen, and other senior leaders from the coalition, including Rajinder Gupta, participated in this flag-waving event.
This meeting took place as the NDA prepares for the concluding phase of the session. The last two days may witness pending legislative work and the impact of ongoing protests from the opposition.
Rajinder Gupta was among the MPs present, actively participating in the proceedings alongside other coalition members. This gathering provided NDA MPs an opportunity to unite ahead of the session’s final two days, which have been marked by frequent disruptions and protests from opposition parties.
The meeting began with chants of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai,’ as NDA MPs, including Prime Minister Modi and Rajinder Gupta, waved the national flag.
On social media platform X, Rajinder Gupta expressed, “Respect for freedom is an inspiration for the future. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspiring leadership and visionary thinking, India is embracing new possibilities, strengthening its foundations, and moving towards fulfilling the aspirations of its people. Our tricolor is not just a symbol; it embodies the sacrifices of those who secured our freedom and the hopes of every Indian dreaming of a stronger tomorrow. Through ‘Har Ghar Tiranga,’ let us celebrate the pride that unites us and reaffirm our commitment to building a developed India. Jai Hind!”
This display of patriotism occurred just days before Independence Day and followed the Prime Minister’s appeal for greater participation in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
This year’s campaign is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram.’ The Prime Minister has urged citizens to honor freedom fighters on August 15 and reaffirm their commitment to nation-building.
After the meeting, NDA MPs marched towards the Parliament, while opposition protests continued on various issues, including the NEET exam controversy and police actions against students at Jantar Mantar on July 20.
Tuesday’s meeting and the subsequent march highlighted key aspects of the session’s final phase: parliamentary coordination, political maneuvering, and a robust display of national symbols.
