PM Modis Mangal Milan: A Platform for Open Dialogue Among MPs

New Delhi, August 11: BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj recently shed light on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative, ‘Mangal Milan’. This platform allows MPs to gather every Tuesday to engage in open discussions on various national and social issues. The primary goal of these meetings is to exchange ideas, brainstorm challenges, and propose new suggestions.

In a video shared by the social media account ‘Modi Story’, Bansuri Swaraj emphasized that the BJP and its allied parties are united by nationalist ideology. When the commitment to nation-building is shared, a common platform for dialogue and discussion becomes essential. This is the rationale behind Prime Minister Modi naming these meetings ‘Mangal Milan’.

Bansuri Swaraj noted that the first ‘Mangal Milan’ was held following the NEET paper leak controversy. During that meeting, Prime Minister Modi remarked that issues like paper leaks are not confined to any single party or political ideology; rather, they are serious concerns affecting the future of the country’s youth. He stressed the need to rise above party politics to combat such issues, labeling them as serious crimes.

She mentioned that during the meeting, the Prime Minister also acknowledged India’s young innovators. Specifically, he highlighted the ‘Skyroot’ team, whose average age is around 28 years, and who successfully launched the country’s first private rocket.

According to Bansuri Swaraj, discussions at ‘Mangal Milan’ meetings extend beyond political issues to include global events and the country’s economic strategies. She recounted that in one meeting, Prime Minister Modi referred to various ongoing wars around the world, stating that despite challenging global circumstances, India has strengthened its economic security by signing nine Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).

Furthermore, he urged MPs to enhance communication with the youth and emphasized the importance of ensuring that the benefits of these FTAs and economic policies reach various segments of society.
