New Delhi, August 11: The National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) celebrated its 20th anniversary at the India International Centre in New Delhi. The event featured Prabhul Ketkar, editor of Bharat Publication (Delhi) Limited, as the chief guest.
He remarked, “Today, one of India’s leading educational institutions, the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), marks its 20th anniversary. This institution plays a crucial role in shaping India’s educational policies.”
During the event, new courses focusing on AI and the arts were launched. Discussing the role of higher education institutions in ‘Developed India 2047,’ he emphasized the need to free our thinking from colonial influences by 2035. Regarding the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign, he stated that love for the country should not be limited to campaigns but should be a constant sentiment among people.
On NIEPA’s 20th anniversary, Chancellor Professor Rama Shankar Dubey stated, “If we look at the means of change in society, it is education. We can transform society through education. Therefore, we must develop human capital that is capable of facing our national, local, and international challenges.”
He added that higher education institutions have a significant role in achieving the goal of ‘Developed India 2047.’ These institutions should function as centers of knowledge, innovation, and responsible leadership.
Registrar C.S. Surya Narayan Mishra highlighted, “NIEPA’s policy is the backbone of India’s education system. We have been working on this policy for the past 20 years. We will continue to lead in policy implementation and development.”
He noted that the institution is consistently working in the fields of education policy, research, and improved planning, aiming to strengthen the education system and effectively implement policies on the ground.
