Vasai-Virar Invites Citizens to Celebrate Patriotism with Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign

Mumbai, August 11: The Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation has called on all citizens to enthusiastically participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign. This initiative aims to spread the spirit of patriotism and enhance respect and awareness for the national flag.

Launched by the central government in 2022, the campaign is being celebrated with great enthusiasm in 2026. This year, it coincides with the 150th anniversary of the song ‘Vande Mataram,’ linking the campaign’s theme to this significant milestone.

According to government directives, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign will run from August 9 to August 17. Additionally, August 14 will mark ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day,’ observed nationwide through various memorial and awareness programs. The Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation will also host several events during this period.

All schools and colleges within the municipal area have been instructed to organize various activities as part of the campaign. These include group singing of ‘Vande Mataram,’ flag displays, patriotic cultural programs, essay writing, painting, rangoli, public speaking, and slogan competitions.

Moreover, the municipal corporation will organize a flag rally, bike rally, morning processions, and rangoli events. Various locations will be decorated with flags and illuminated for the occasion.

Citizens are encouraged to hoist the national flag at their homes, buildings, and establishments from August 13 to 15. They are also invited to participate in the ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ campaign by taking selfies with the flag and uploading them to http://www.harghartiranga.com.

The municipal corporation has urged citizens to strictly adhere to the flag code while hoisting the national flag to prevent any disrespect, whether intentional or accidental.

The Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation calls upon citizens to participate in large numbers in the patriotism-inspired ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, expressing their love and respect for the country and the national flag.
