Lucknow, March 24: The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department is set to launch the Navarambh Festival on March 25 across all schools with co-located Anganwadi centers. This initiative aims to strengthen early education and ensure a smooth and inspiring start to children’s educational journeys.
The formal inauguration will be conducted by the Additional Chief Secretary (Basic and Secondary Education), Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, at the primary school in Ramchaura village, located in the Sarojininagar block.
During the festival, children aged 3 to 4 will engage in informal education activities like writing in sand, making the learning process playful and engaging. Special emphasis will be placed on promoting enrollment for children aged 3 to 6 and simplifying the transition for those completing 6 years into Class 1.
Active participation from parents and local representatives is being encouraged to create a positive and motivating environment for children’s education. This initiative will not only enrich early learning experiences but also strengthen coordination between schools, parents, and the community.
Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh stated that the Navarambh Festival will lay a strong foundation for a bright future for children by reinforcing early education. The Director General of School Education, Monica Rani, emphasized that a play-based teaching methodology is empowering children’s overall development, curiosity, and learning capabilities from an early stage.
