New Delhi, April 1: The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) has reported remarkable growth in its performance for the fiscal year 2025-26. This Navratna infrastructure financing company, operating under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has further strengthened its vital role in enhancing urban development and infrastructure across the country.
According to the released data, HUDCO sanctioned loans amounting to ₹1,64,757 crore in the financial year 2025-26, marking an increase of 28.76% compared to ₹1,27,952 crore in the previous fiscal year. Additionally, the total disbursement reached ₹51,194 crore, reflecting a 27.87% rise from ₹40,037 crore in the financial year 2024-25.
Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman and Managing Director of HUDCO, attributed this performance to continuous monitoring of market conditions and organizational reforms. He emphasized that the company’s goal is to enhance the living standards of citizens and promote inclusive and sustainable urban development.
Kulshrestha also mentioned that HUDCO will further accelerate investments in urban areas through its recently launched ‘Urban Investment Window.’ This initiative aims to promote efficient capital utilization in urban projects, expand new investment opportunities, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
With its nationwide presence, extensive experience with municipal bodies, and expertise in infrastructure financing, HUDCO is well-positioned to make the Urban Investment Window effective. This is expected to encourage balanced and comprehensive development in urban areas.
