New Delhi, June 18: Samajwadi Party MP Sanatan Pandey has addressed claims made by Minister and Subhaspa leader Om Prakash Rajbhar regarding a supposed rift within the party. Pandey firmly stated that he has no intention of leaving the Samajwadi Party, asserting that no force in the world can separate him from socialism and the party.
In a conversation regarding Rajbhar’s comments, Pandey expressed gratitude for the information provided but emphasized, “I want to make it clear that I will not leave the party. This is a straightforward answer. Throughout my life, whether in politics or not, whether I remain an MP or not, my entire existence is rooted in socialism. No power can separate me from socialism and the Samajwadi Party.”
He further remarked, “The power that Rajbhar speaks of is only capable of intimidating people like us or orchestrating encounters. I assure you, those who support him do not have the capacity to buy Sanatan Pandey, no matter how much power they wield.”
Pandey clarified, “I am an MP of the Samajwadi Party and possess no illegal assets. I only have land given to me by my grandfather. Apart from the house account, I have no other accounts.” He noted that during a recent event, thousands of Brahmin workers from across the state attended, expressing their discontent with the current government, which they believe has disproportionately targeted Brahmins since 2014.
He stated, “Brahmins are the most persecuted under this government. The highest number of encounters have involved Brahmins. A Brahmin is inherently socialist.” Pandey added that the Brahmin community, which has connections with every caste, considers everyone as part of their society. He believes that the people of the state have acknowledged that the meeting on August 5 will be historic, and the crowd’s presence has left others feeling disheartened.
He concluded by saying that while others may leave the Samajwadi Party, he speaks for himself. “Even in my final days, if given the opportunity, I will dedicate myself to the party’s work.”
Rajbhar has consistently claimed that there is a split within the Samajwadi Party. He recently stated that Brahmins were disrespected at a party event, which has only fueled tensions. Sanatan Pandey currently serves as the MP from Ballia.
