Udaipur, March 1 : Member of Parliament Mannalal Rawat met Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma in Jaipur on Sunday to discuss key issues related to the Udaipur Lok Sabha constituency and tribal regions. During the meeting, he also raised the demand for the formation of a State Tribal Commission.

Dr Rawat, during his visit to the Chief Minister’s residence, expressed gratitude for the decisions taken in the Rajasthan Budget 2026–27 for Udaipur division and the scheduled areas. He thanked the Chief Minister for initiatives related to the PESA Act, Forest Rights Act, Dharti Aaba Tribal Advanced Village Campaign, proposal for a Tribal Commission, preparation of a master tourism plan for Jaisamand, and service rules in scheduled areas.
He also urged the Chief Minister to take further decisions in line with the aspirations of the region and its youth. The MP requested effective implementation of DMFT in the area and sought a state-level meeting under the Chief Minister’s chairmanship regarding the Parliamentary Complex Project, which was accepted.
Discussions were also held on Panchayati Raj elections in Mewar and Vagad regions and other political matters.
