Collector and SP Review Preparations for National Tourism Ministers’ Conference in Udaipur

Udaipur, October 12 (Daily Kiran): Preparations are in full swing in Udaipur for the upcoming two-day National Conference of Tourism Ministers from various states, scheduled for October 14 and 15. On Sunday, District Collector Namit Mehta and Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal visited the venue, Hotel Marriott, to inspect arrangements and review readiness with senior officials.

The conference will be attended by Governors of several states, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories, the Union Tourism Minister, state tourism ministers, and senior officers from both the Central and Rajasthan governments. Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari is expected to represent the state at the event.

Collector Mehta and SP Goyal held a detailed review meeting with concerned officials to assess preparations related to guest reception, accommodation, food, seating arrangements, and branding at the venue. The Collector also interacted with the hotel management and representatives of the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) to ensure smooth coordination.

SP Goyal reviewed the VVIP security arrangements, traffic management, and overall safety measures at the venue. The Collector directed that help desks and medical teams be deployed both at the airport and the conference venue for the convenience of guests. He also instructed the Urban Improvement Trust (UDA) to repair and beautify the approach roads leading to the venue.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Collector (Administration) Dipendra Singh Rathore, ADM (City) Jitendra Ojha, UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, Badgaon SDM Latika Paliwal, Joint Director (Tourism) Sumita Saroch, Deputy Director (Tourism) Shikha Saxena, District Supply Officer Manish Bhatnagar, Deputy Director (Information & Public Relations) Gaurikant Sharma, ACMHO Dr. Ragini, Additional Chief Engineer (Municipal Corporation) Mukesh Pujari, Health Officer Satyanarayan Sharma, and Kajri General Manager Kamlesh Verma, among others.

Tourism Ministers to Arrive in Udaipur

In view of the upcoming National Conference of Tourism Ministers and Lieutenant Governors on October 14 and 15, dignitaries from several states and Union Territories will arrive in Udaipur. Haryana Tourism Minister Arvind Sharma is scheduled to arrive on Monday at 7:00 PM. Vidyavati, Secretary to the Union Tourism Minister, will also arrive the same evening. Additional Secretary and Director General of Tourism, Government of India, Sumit Billah, will reach Udaipur at 2:25 PM, while Puducherry Tourism Minister Laxminarayan is also expected to arrive on Monday.
