Mumbai, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : Nilesh Ojha, the lawyer representing Satish Salian in the Disha Salian case, has raised serious concerns regarding the forensic report, alleged forensic records, and the ongoing CBI investigation. Following a Bombay High Court order, Ojha received access to the forensic report, which has unveiled significant documents related to the case. However, these allegations have not been independently verified.
Ojha pointed out contradictions in the records associated with the case as mandated by the High Court. He noted that the post-mortem report, death certificate, and police covering letters reference samples taken, yet the forensic analysis later indicated only the presence of a smear. A police letter dated June 12, 2020, requested an examination of the samples collected during the post-mortem. Subsequent letters on June 16 and August 3 also called for a prompt forensic examination and report. These documents are now set to be handed over to the CBI.
The lawyer emphasized the need for an independent investigation into the alleged alterations in the records and the questions surrounding the investigation. He claims to possess additional evidence and eyewitness accounts.
Ojha also questioned Aditya Thackeray’s reluctance to discuss the case and his claims of being politically targeted. He alleged that Thackeray had filed a petition for intervention in the case and expressed objections to the CBI investigation. Ojha asserted that Thackeray’s statements in court regarding certain facts of the case had been challenged and required clarification. He argued that if Thackeray had no connection to the case, there would be no need to oppose the CBI inquiry.
Additionally, Ojha made several other allegations against Thackeray and others, stating that he has yet to receive responses to previously raised questions. These claims remain unverified.
Following the Bombay High Court’s order, Ojha confirmed that his legal team visited the CBI office to meet with officials. The CBI has issued notices to relevant police officers to submit the case documents. A senior officer from Delhi has been assigned to oversee the investigation, and the process is expected to accelerate following the officer’s appointment. Ojha stated that Satish Salian’s team will coordinate with the CBI and assist in the FIR registration process.
Referring to a social media post by Shweta Singh Rajput, sister of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Ojha noted her call for truth and justice. He mentioned that numerous questions regarding the cases of Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput remain under investigation. The relationship between the two cases also needs to be examined, according to Ojha, who described it as a fight for justice between ordinary citizens and influential figures. He expressed hope that the CBI investigation would reveal the truth of the entire matter.
