Bulandshahr, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : A former legislator in Uttar Pradesh‘s Bulandshahr, known as Guddu Pandit, has been booked by local police following allegations of domestic violence made by his wife, Archana Panda. The FIR was lodged at the Nagar Kotwali police station based on her complaint.
The incident reportedly occurred on September 2, when a dispute arose over a delay in opening the door at their residence. Archana Panda accused Guddu Pandit of verbally abusing her and physically assaulting her during the confrontation. She claims he grabbed her hair and used foul language.
Archana has also stated that she possesses video evidence of the incident, which has since gone viral on social media, showing the altercation between the couple. In her complaint, she expressed fears for her safety and that of their nine-year-old son, alleging threats from Guddu Pandit, his family, and supporters.
The couple is said to have a history of disputes, with several cases currently pending in court. While the allegations have not been independently verified, City Circle Officer Prakhar Pandey confirmed that an FIR has been registered based on the victim’s statement. The investigation is underway, with Sub-Inspector Virendra Sharma assigned to the case. Guddu Pandit has previously served two terms as a legislator for the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party from the Dibai assembly seat in Bulandshahr.
