Karnataka Announces Board Exam Dates for Class 12 and Class 10 Students

Bengaluru, February 17: Karnataka’s Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa announced on Tuesday that the Class 12 board exams will take place from February 28 to March 17, while the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10 exams are scheduled from March 18 to April 2.

During a press conference in Bengaluru, the minister stated that the Class 12 exams will be held daily from 10 AM to 1 PM. Class 10 exams will run from 10 AM to 1:15 PM.

Approximately 710,000 students are registered for the Class 12 exams, and 902,000 students for the Class 10 exams. Among them, 13,022 students in Class 12 and 27,189 in Class 10 are repeaters.

According to the school education department’s schedule, the Class 12 exams will commence on February 28 with Kannada and Arabic. Geography, Statistics, and Psychology will be tested on March 2, followed by English on March 3.

Language exams, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit, and French, will take place on March 4. The History exam is set for March 5, and Physics will be tested on March 6.

Optional subjects such as Kannada, Business Studies, and Geology will be examined on March 7. Following that, Chemistry, Education, and Basic Mathematics will be tested on March 9, Economics on March 10, Logic, Electronics, and Home Science on March 11, and Hindi on March 12.

Political Science will be examined on March 13, with Accountancy and Mathematics scheduled for March 14. Sociology, Biology, and Computer Science exams will occur on March 16, concluding with Hindustani Music, Music, Retail, Automobile, and Healthcare subjects on March 17.

The Class 10 exams will begin on March 18 with the First Language exam. The Science exam is set for March 23, the Second Language on March 25, Mathematics on March 28, and the Third Language on March 30. The exams will conclude with Social Science on April 2.

The minister assured that necessary arrangements have been made to conduct the exams smoothly and transparently across the state. Results for Class 12 are expected to be announced on April 7, while Class 10 results will be declared on April 24.

Students can travel for free on RTC buses by showing their hall tickets. Mobile phones and any electronic devices are prohibited in the examination halls. Relevant Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police have been instructed to take necessary actions.
