
Hansi, June 10: The Food and Supply Department in Hansi, Haryana, has launched a significant operation against the illegal use of domestic gas cylinders. The department’s team conducted inspections from Trikona Park to Umra Gate, raiding four locations, including a dhaba, and recovering a total of nine gas cylinders.
Among the seized cylinders, six were domestic and three were commercial.
District Food and Supply Officer Anuradha Jangra informed the media that the department had received continuous complaints regarding the unlawful use of domestic gas cylinders over the past few days. Based on these complaints, a special campaign was initiated to inspect various establishments and locations.
During the raids, individuals at the sites were unable to present any valid documents or permits related to the cylinders. Preliminary investigations revealed that domestic gas cylinders were being used for commercial activities, as well as for vehicles and other illegal purposes.
Anuradha Jangra stated that all recovered cylinders have been confiscated, and notices have been issued to the concerned individuals. Further investigations are underway, and departmental actions will be taken as per regulations.
She emphasized that domestic gas cylinders are intended for the needs of ordinary consumers, and their commercial use is legally prohibited. Such violations will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The district food and supply officer clarified that similar raids will continue in the future. She urged the public not to misuse or illegally use domestic gas cylinders. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone found violating the rules.
