Jharkhand Government Accused of Neglecting Student Demands by BJP Leader Aditya Sahu

Ranchi, August 9: Aditya Sahu, the President of the Jharkhand BJP and Rajya Sabha MP, has criticized the Hemant Soren government for failing to address serious issues affecting students’ futures. Instead of taking concrete actions, he claims the government is merely postponing the matter through discussions and assurances.

On Saturday evening, Sahu visited the emergency ward of Ranchi Sadar Hospital to meet with fasting student Rahul Kranti and inquire about his condition. He then proceeded to Jaypal Singh Munda Stadium, where he interacted with protesting students, including those on hunger strike.

Sahu stated that if the government is sincere, it should not fear recommending a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in examinations. He emphasized that students are not seeking mere assurances but demand a fair and independent inquiry.

The BJP leader called for an investigation into all JPSC and JSSC examinations conducted from 2019 to 2026. He raised concerns about the staggered release of exam results, questioning why candidates with higher scores are not being appointed while those with lower scores are. The government must provide a clear explanation for this discrepancy.

He also highlighted serious allegations regarding monetary transactions and the involvement of intermediaries following the results. Given these concerns, an independent investigation is essential. Sahu questioned the credibility of a CID probe, suggesting that students cannot trust an agency operating under a government facing accusations.

Additionally, Sahu targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of attempting to silence the voices of Jharkhand’s students. He urged Gandhi to support the students’ demand for a CBI investigation if he genuinely stands with the youth.

Sahu asserted that this movement is not just about a few students; it pertains to the employment and future of the youth across Jharkhand. He urged the government to respond to student demands rather than suppress the protests. He mentioned that a significant number of students are expected to participate in the proposed assembly siege on August 10.

He concluded by stating that the government must move beyond assurances and take decisive action. Sahu condemned the police’s use of force against ABVP activists, labeling it as brutal. He criticized the government’s attempts to stifle the voices of students and youth, declaring that such actions will not be tolerated.
