Lucknow, August 8: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh recently inaugurated an environmental education center, describing it as an extraordinary initiative. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, he highlighted the collaborative effort of the faculty in creating what can be termed an ‘Eco-Educational Hub’ in the country. This hub is envisioned as a blend of culture, science, and art.
Dr. Singh emphasized that individuals from all backgrounds will have the opportunity to engage with this hub. In the coming days, students can conduct research here, while tourists can also enjoy the space. Various native plants have been cultivated within the hub, enhancing its ecological significance.
He mentioned the establishment of a botanical garden that narrates the life stories of 52 freedom fighters, detailing their journeys and contributions. Plans are underway to collaborate with other universities to offer PhD programs, which will directly benefit students.
Dr. Singh recalled that this institute was responsible for the creation of a lotus flower with 107 petals, which gained popularity to the extent that it was featured in the quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati,’ where a contestant answered a question about it and won a prize.
He expressed gratitude for the support from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, attributing the successful completion of these initiatives to his backing. Over the past few months, various programs have been organized here, attracting significant participation. The Prime Minister has entrusted them with the responsibility to promote science, ensuring that even the smallest towns are informed about it. They are currently working with this vision in mind.
