Corruption Uncovered: Panchayat Official in Madhya Pradesh Found to be a Millionaire

Jabalpur, August 8: The Lokayukt team conducted raids on the premises of a Panchayat department official in Madhya Pradesh, revealing his millionaire status. The operation took place in Jabalpur and Seoni, where documents related to multiple plots and other properties were discovered.

Subhash Sharma, who holds the position of Assistant Grade 2 at the Regional Rural Development and Panchayat Training Center in Seoni, has faced continuous complaints regarding the accumulation of assets beyond his known income.

Following verification of these complaints, the Lokayukt carried out simultaneous raids on Saturday morning at locations in both Jabalpur and Seoni. Initial findings revealed numerous properties registered under the names of Subhash Sharma and his wife, including residential plots and a farmhouse.

The assets uncovered during the operation are reported to exceed his income by over 500%. The Lokayukt’s investigation is ongoing, with efforts to locate additional properties owned by Sharma. Documents retrieved during the raids are being scrutinized to determine if he possesses assets in other areas beyond Seoni and Jabalpur.
