Jaipur, October 26 (Daily Kiran) — The Jhunjhunu police have achieved a major breakthrough in the murder of history-sheeter Danish Bavariya, arresting the main conspirator who arranged gang members to carry out the killing. The accused, identified as Jitendra alias Jony Meghwal (22), a resident of Gothda, has been taken into custody under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay and Additional SP (Headquarters) Devendra Singh Rajawat.

With this arrest, the police have so far nabbed six accused in the high-profile case connected to the notorious Mandeep alias Madia gang.
Brutal Murder of Danish Bavariya
According to SP Upadhyay, the incident took place on October 20, when Danish alias Naresh Kumar was travelling in a Scorpio vehicle with his associates, carrying fireworks and ₹3 lakh in cash. Near the Churu bypass liquor shop, Madia gang members—travelling in three camper vehicles—rammed Danish’s car and attacked him brutally with iron rods.
They abducted Danish, looted his gold chain, ring, and ₹3 lakh in cash, and later dumped him in Rasoda village. Danish sustained severe injuries and was referred to SMS Hospital, Jaipur, where he gave a dying declaration leading to a police case being registered. He later succumbed to his injuries, after which murder charges were added.
Police Crack Down on Madia Gang Network
During the investigation, it was revealed that gang leader Mandeep alias Madia had arranged the attackers through Jitendra alias Jony, who acted as the middleman and recruiter. Jony, already associated with the Madia gang, had been tasked with bringing in new recruits willing to earn money through criminal activities.
Lured Youths to Join the Gang
On October 19, a day before the crime, Madia instructed Jony to bring four to five young men ready to participate in the assault. Jony lured Ajay Kumar alias Ajju, Tarachand, Pankaj Jat, and Dharmpal, promising them money and entry into the gang. He arranged their meeting with Madia and his associate Deepak Malsariya at Royal Treat Hotel, Sitasar, where the entire plan to attack Danish was finalised.
The gang then executed the plan, involving beating, abduction, property damage, and ultimately murder.
Police Custody and Further Interrogation
Jitendra alias Jony, son of Omprakash and resident of Chodhani ki Dhani (Gothda), was arrested on Saturday. He has been remanded to 5-day police custody for interrogation. Police officials said he is being intensively questioned to uncover the full conspiracy and identify all individuals involved in the organised crime network.
SP Upadhyay commended the Kotwali Police team, led by SHO Harjinder Singh, for dismantling a crucial link in the Madia gang’s operations and bringing the investigation closer to a complete breakthrough.
