Patna, April 15: Union Minister Chirag Paswan has responded sharply to remarks made by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. He accused Yadav of engaging in politics of convenience from the comfort of an air-conditioned room.
During a media interaction in Patna, Paswan stated that the opposition is attempting to spread confusion. He recounted a recent meeting with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who expressed that very few individuals get the chance to serve in the Assembly, Legislative Council, Lok Sabha, and Rajya Sabha. Kumar shared his desire to leverage his experience for the benefit of the state.
Paswan acknowledged Kumar’s past service as Chief Minister, emphasizing the respect they all have for him. He credited Kumar for leading Bihar out of the dark era of ‘Jungle Raj’ and into its current position of progress. He expressed confidence that under Kumar’s guidance, Samrat Chaudhary will continue to advance Bihar.
In response to Yadav’s comments, Paswan challenged him to reflect on his own family’s political history. He questioned how the next Chief Minister was chosen after Lalu Yadav’s imprisonment and highlighted the coalition agreement that led to Chaudhary’s selection.
Paswan further criticized Yadav’s absence during significant political developments in Bihar, accusing him of prioritizing convenience over active participation.
He congratulated Samrat Chaudhary, wishing him success in leading Bihar to its next phase. Paswan acknowledged Kumar’s role in stabilizing the state and expressed hope for continued progress under Chaudhary’s leadership. He also wished Kumar well in his new endeavors in national politics.
