Udaipur, 30 July: A review meeting was held at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Collector Namit Mehta to strengthen the implementation of financial inclusion and social security schemes. The meeting focused on connecting all eligible beneficiaries, who are yet to be covered under schemes like PMJJBY, PMSBY, PMJDY, and APY, and saturating all gram panchayats in the district with key financial inclusion initiatives. District Lead Bank Manager and all bankers were issued necessary instructions in this regard.

Officers Directed to Promote Schemes in Villages

The District Collector instructed all district-level officers to actively promote these schemes through field-level personnel during the ongoing Financial Inclusion Saturation Camps, which are being held from 4 July to 30 September. The aim is to ensure maximum beneficiary coverage in each gram panchayat. The District Lead Bank Manager was also directed to ensure all bank branches and business correspondents regularly submit reports on their activities. Departmental officers were briefed on all schemes related to financial inclusion.

Awareness to Be Ensured Ahead of Camps

The Joint Director of the Department of Economics and Statistics instructed all officers to inform public representatives and field-level workers about the schemes at the gram panchayat level at least two days before each camp. The District Collector also directed the Education Department to open bank accounts for students aged 10 and above. Similarly, the College Education Department was asked to organise camps within college campuses to benefit students under financial inclusion schemes.

Various Departments Assigned Specific Outreach Roles

The Cooperative Department was tasked with promoting the schemes through LAMPS and PACS, Rajeevika through Self-Help Groups, the Agriculture Department through farmer groups, and the Department of Women Empowerment through ASHA workers and Saathins. Their collective goal is to maximise outreach and connect as many people as possible to the schemes.

Focus on PM Security Insurance and Atal Pension Yojana

District Lead Bank Manager and all bankers were specifically instructed to focus on the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and to accelerate progress under the Atal Pension Yojana. They were also told to continue organising camps until all gram panchayats are fully saturated with these schemes.

Special Camps in Khairwara and Kotda Blocks

The District Collector further instructed that one-day special camps and workshops be organised through banks in the aspirational blocks of Khairwara and Guru Golwalkar Block Kotda, with special efforts to saturate gram panchayats in these areas under financial inclusion schemes.
