Beijing, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter marking the 70th anniversary of the “Little Trumpet” program, organized by China Media Group (CMG). In his message, Xi emphasized that for seven decades, the program has adhered to the principle of “telling good stories to children,” supporting the healthy development of generations of children.
Xi expressed hope that, at this new starting point, the program’s team and countless workers in children’s literature and arts would focus on nurturing virtues and developing talent. He urged them to keep pace with the times, cultivate a rich environment for children’s culture, and create outstanding works that promote truth, goodness, and beauty—works that resonate with children. This effort aims to contribute more to the comprehensive development of socialist builders and successors, excelling in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education.
Notably, “Little Trumpet” first aired on September 4, 1956, becoming the first radio program specifically designed for preschool children in the new China. Today, it has evolved into a brand that integrates radio, television, new media, and campus radio stations.
