Hindustan Zinc Celebrates 80th Independence Day Across Units

Udaipur : Hindustan Zinc Limited, one of the world’s largest integrated zinc producers and among the top 10 silver producers, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with enthusiasm across its operational units in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

The celebrations included flag hoisting ceremonies, tree plantation drives and parades involving employees, business partners and community members. Various units also organised plays and dance performances as part of the celebrations.

Hindustan Zinc, India’s largest producer of zinc, lead and silver, has long been a partner in the country’s growth and development.

Addressing the flag hoisting ceremony at Hindustan Zinc’s headquarters in Udaipur, CEO Amarendu Prakash said Independence Day reminds everyone of new responsibilities and the resolve to build a better India for future generations.

He said the participation of youth at Hindustan Zinc is important and that the company is moving forward in the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He added that producing high-quality metals is essential for India’s journey towards becoming an economic and manufacturing powerhouse.

Prakash said Hindustan Zinc is committed to supporting national development by expanding its capabilities and driving growth through innovative product solutions. He added that the company is strengthening India’s position on the global map for responsible mining.

At the Zinc Smelter in Debari, SBU Director Vivek Yadav was the chief guest and hoisted the national flag. At Zawar Mines, IBU CEO Anshul Khandelwal hoisted the flag during the Independence Day celebrations.
