Hindustan Zinc Opens Common Service Centre in Bichhri Village
Udaipur: Hindustan Zinc has inaugurated a Common Service Centre (CSC) in Bichhri village, located in the operational area of its Zinc Smelter Debari, under its Samadhan project. The centre will provide farmers and rural residents access to various government services at affordable rates and facilitate registration for social welfare schemes run by the Central and Rajasthan governments, helping ensure that eligible beneficiaries can access these schemes.
The inauguration was attended by BYAF Rajasthan representative Pawan Patidar, Head CSR, Zinc Smelter Debari Ruchika Chawla, Deputy Sarpanch Lokesh Paliwal, Dharma, Babu Singh and GMFPO Board of Director Chunnilal, among other dignitaries. Around 60 farmers from nearby villages participated in the event, with nearly 90 per cent of the participants being women farmers, reflecting growing participation and awareness among rural women.
During the programme, farmers were informed about the services available through the Common Service Centre and the benefits of various government welfare schemes. The centre will help rural residents access information about government schemes, apply online and obtain required documents and services without having to travel to distant government offices.
The initiative is also aimed at improving digital access in rural areas and increasing awareness about government services. Through the centre, farmers and rural families will receive assistance with online applications, participation in government schemes and accessing services through digital platforms. This is expected to save time and resources while making the process of availing government benefits more convenient.
Farmers attending the programme welcomed the launch of the Common Service Centre in the Debari cluster and described it as a useful facility for villagers. They said that availability of such services locally would reduce the need to travel and make it easier for rural residents to connect with government schemes.
The initiative is part of Hindustan Zinc’s broader efforts to empower rural communities, improve access to government services and promote social and economic development in its operational areas.
