Patna, September 27 (Daily Kiran) : Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi has once again targeted the opposition, particularly Congress, during a recent address in Patna. He supported the Election Commission‘s recent statements and urged the opposition to stop spreading confusion.
Sarawagi commented on the upcoming meeting of the India Block scheduled for September 30, stating, “Congress and the opposition are engaged solely in the politics of deception. They criticize constitutional institutions, claiming everything is fine where they win, but when they lose, they blame the system.” He emphasized that the Election Commission’s press release confirmed that decisions were made unanimously.
He declared Congress irrelevant in the country, stating, “The people of this nation have ensured that opposition parties are left with no ground to stand on.”
Regarding the proposed impeachment motion against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Sarawagi remarked, “No one takes Rahul Gandhi seriously anymore. He has become a joke in the eyes of the nation. The decisions of the Election Commission are reached by consensus among all three members. In West Bengal, where the highest number of voters were removed from the rolls, the TMC and Congress candidates won six out of ten seats.” He urged the opposition and Rahul Gandhi to cease their disinformation campaigns.
Additionally, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, requesting more time for members from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes to speak. Sarawagi responded, “The Lok Sabha operates under its own rules, and the Speaker will determine the arrangements.”
In light of a recent murder of a garage owner, Sarawagi assured the public that the police have been given full authority to act, stating, “Criminals will not be spared at any cost. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has instructed the arrest of those committing serious crimes.”
On the voluntary retirement of DGP Vinay Kumar, he stated, “This is his personal decision. He has been a commendable officer, and his choice to retire should be respected.”
