Nicosia, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : India and Cyprus are actively working to enhance collaboration in connectivity, transport, and maritime sectors. This discussion took place during a meeting between Indian High Commissioner Manish and Cyprus’s Minister of Transport, Communications, and Works, Ms. AV Tsolaki, in Nicosia.
The Indian High Commission announced the meeting on social media, highlighting the focus on strengthening India-Cyprus cooperation in these vital areas. The discussions aimed to deepen practical cooperation and strengthen the growing bilateral relations between the two nations.
Earlier, on September 18, High Commissioner Manish reviewed the bilateral agenda with key officials, including Deputy Political Director Polly Ionou and Dimitris Assos from the President’s Diplomatic Office. The High Commission noted that this meeting was part of ongoing efforts to enhance coordination and solidify the commitment to transforming the leaders’ visions into tangible outcomes for the partnership.
In May, Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides visited India, where he met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The two leaders agreed to elevate the relationship to a strategic level, emphasizing deeper cooperation in defense and transport connectivity.
