Kolkata, September 27 (Daily Kiran) : Indian Prime Minister Nitin Naveen will embark on a two-day organizational and outreach tour of West Bengal starting Sunday. The visit aims to strengthen the party’s grassroots organization and connect with party workers across the state.
Naveen’s tour is particularly significant ahead of upcoming by-elections in the Nandigram and Rejinagar constituencies, as well as municipal elections in seven urban bodies scheduled for November. He is expected to provide direction to the organization and engage in discussions with BJP workers throughout his visit.
Upon his arrival at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at 10 AM, Naveen will head to a hotel in Newtown. By 11 AM, he will be at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, where he plans to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio program, “Mann Ki Baat,” alongside party leaders and workers. According to state BJP sources, the focus of Naveen’s visit will be to enhance the party’s organizational activities.
Following this, the first phase of the BJP’s organizational meeting will commence under Naveen’s leadership. From 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, a core committee meeting will take place, attended by senior state BJP officials, coordinators from various departments, district presidents, and other key representatives.
A member of the state committee expressed hope that Naveen would offer suggestions to strengthen the party’s organizational network in West Bengal. From 3 PM to 4 PM, he will hold separate meetings with party MPs and MLAs at the convention center, followed by a special discussion with state cabinet members from 4:30 PM to 6 PM.
The final meeting of the day, scheduled from 6 PM to 8 PM, will involve the BJP’s core committee for West Bengal. Insiders suggest that this meeting is crucial for determining the party’s future strategy amid the current political landscape.
On the second day of his tour, Monday, September 28, Naveen will lead a service program titled “Aangan Ka Milan” at the Lok Sanskriti Bhavan in Panihati, Sodpur, promoting the BJP’s ideology of “Service is Organization.” During this event, he will engage directly with community volunteers, service personnel, and citizens as part of the BJP’s nationwide “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.”
