Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray announced a rally in Mumbai on October 4, criticizing the Election Commissions actions.

Mumbai, September 26 (Daily Kiran) : Raj Thackeray, leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), and Uddhav Thackeray of Shiv Sena (UBT) have united to challenge the Indian Election Commission. They announced a significant public rally scheduled for October 4 in Mumbai.
The two leaders accused the Election Commission of deceiving voters and acting as an extended arm of the ruling party at the center. Both parties are coordinating organizational efforts for the protest, emphasizing that it transcends partisan politics. They described the October 4 rally as a people’s movement and confirmed plans to engage with all political parties to create a unified opposition front.
In their statement, they declared, “This is a rally for the public. We urge all political parties to join this front to ensure it is not limited to one party but becomes a collective voice of the entire political system and citizens.”
The upcoming movement is framed as a decisive fight for the preservation of the nation’s democratic framework and institutional integrity. The rally aims to firmly oppose institutional bias and manipulation of voter lists. Details regarding the location and timing of the event will be officially announced soon.
The statement concluded with a direct appeal to the public, urging them to participate in large numbers and unite to protect the democracy and constitution of the country.
Previously, Raj Thackeray sharply criticized the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, demanding the immediate cancellation of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. He accused the ruling party of using key institutional figures to maintain its grip on power and called for a broad movement among all opposition parties to reinstate paper ballots.
