Faridabad, September 27 (Daily Kiran) : A large crowd gathered in Faridabad on Sunday for the ‘Namo’ Marathon, which was officially launched by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The event aimed to encourage youth to steer clear of drugs and contribute to a drug-free Haryana. Former cricketer Shikhar Dhawan also participated in the marathon.
Upon his arrival in Faridabad, Chief Minister Saini received a warm welcome. He then flagged off the marathon, extending his congratulations and best wishes to all participants. “The youth have come out in large numbers today. I sincerely congratulate and wish everyone the best for this ‘Namo’ Marathon. I bow to the sacred land of Surajkund and all of Faridabad,” he stated.
Saini emphasized the commitment to a drug-free environment, expressing joy at the enthusiasm of the participants. He noted that over 135,000 individuals registered for the marathon, highlighting the significant turnout. “Today, we pledge together that we will not engage in drug use nor allow others to do so. We will channel the energy of our youth into nation-building,” he declared.
In closing, the Chief Minister expressed his hope for happiness in every home and prosperity in every courtyard. He affirmed that dreams would replace drug use, fulfilling the goal of a drug-free Haryana.
