New Delhi, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : Renowned Kannada actor Anant Nag has been selected to receive the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his remarkable contributions to Indian cinema. This honor will be presented to him during the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony on September 22, 2024. Following the announcement, several political leaders took to social media platform X to extend their congratulations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his heartfelt congratulations, stating, “It is a matter of great pride that veteran actor Anant Nag is being honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. For decades, his natural acting, incredible versatility, and exceptional performances have left a significant impact on Indian cinema, particularly Kannada cinema.
